The pure essence: our titanium pharaohs reveal their true colours.

Sometimes you have to leave things out to reveal their true character. In architecture, the term ‘exposed concrete’ is used when the structure itself becomes the design. At our eyewear factory, we now refer to this as pure block titanium.

You already know our striking models

HATSCHEPSUT, ECHNATON, SETHOS and NEBKA as hybrids – a strong combination of titanium frames and hand-milled acetate inner rings. But many of you have asked us: ‘Can these shapes also stand on their own?’

We tried it out. And the answer is a clear yes.

The desire for clarity: design without filters.

The four models are now also available in their purest form: without acetate rings.

What remains is the absolute clarity of the line. Without the coloured inner ring, the shapes appear more technical, lighter and even more architectural. It is design that has nothing to hide.

We use 2.5 mm thick block titanium. This gives the glasses their high-quality substance and feel without being heavy. The material is a technical masterpiece: extremely robust, corrosion-resistant, anti-allergenic and yet light as a feather. Four rulers, four characters: In keeping with the noble material, the models bear the names of Egyptian rulers – names that have survived the millennia.

  • Hatschepsut & Echnaton:
Strong personalities that now appear even more commanding in their pure titanium setting.

  • Sethos & Nebka:
Pure shapes that gain modernity through their reduction to pure metal.

Your feedback, our implementation.
This expansion of the FUNK/SCHUSTER collection is a direct result of your wishes. We listen, we tinker and we implement. Experience the difference on your nose. Sometimes less really is more.
