DIETER FUNK Recycling acetate
Already in 2019, Dieter Funk has scaled a new level of innovation: he produces his own recycled acetate and uses it to make new eyewear. For this, the acetate cut-outs are collected during the manufacturing process and sorted by colour. As in a recipe, the quantities of different colours are then put together, ground up and pressed into new acetate sheets under the influence of heat. With this technique, Funk is a pioneer on the European eyewear market and 100% Made in Europe eyewear is created.
